I work in IT, and notice you use WordPress to run this blog. Please can you install this plugin?
It would allow people to enter their name with a secret when posting a comment, eg Kate#mypassword. The secret would be changed into a tag (or “tripcode”), eg Kate#asdfjkl.
It is impossible to derive a password from a tripcode. Each tripcode only has one password that can form it.
This system would allow everyone to be sure commenters are who they say they are, without you having to implement a full-on login system (which people might not like, given the nature of this blog)
